Casa Perro Loco has a perfect location for those who want to live in the center of the action and to be able to walk to enjoy the many parks, restaurants, cantinas and attractions of Merida. Within a few blocks of each of Santa Ana (near the famous walking avenue of Merida — the Paseo de Montejo), Santa Lucia (with many of the best restaurants of Merida) and Santiago (with its market, restaurants, grocery store and drug store), there is literally no need for a car. You enter the home into the dining room and transported into the magic of the Merida colonial homes. The ceilings are nearly 7 meters high and have the thin beams known as “vigas”. The pasta tiles, so loved in Merida, are colorful and add a richness to the decor. Meticulous attention was given to restoring this home and it is apparent in every room.

The kitchen is large and well-equipped. A new island provides a large surface for meal preparation. Purified water is provided, so there is no need to be concerned. The kitchen includes essential kitchen equipment and appliances including a toaster and coffee machine so that you can fuel up with a satisfying breakfast to start your day. Coffee, creamer and sugar is provided — no need to run to the nearest mini-mart for these basics. Also, every stay includes four free beers so you can start your vacation immediately upon arriving.

The dining room leads to the living room, with a comfortable sofa and TV for family gathering. Entrances to the pool/patio area and the two bedrooms are found in the living room.

Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom is large with a small sitting area. There are glass doors which lead from the master bedroom to the pool/patio area. The hi thread count and premium cotton bedding and sheets are selected to ensure a good night’s rest. Don’t worry if you forgot your shampoo because both bathrooms are equipped with their own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. The guest room can be set up either with a king bed or two individual beds.

The patio is completely enclosed by high walls for privacy and security. The pool is a perfect size for cooling off. A washer and dryer are located in the closet off of the patio.

The entire house is air-conditioned by mini split units to ensure your comfort no matter what season that you visit. Overhead fans are also in every room. All of the doors are screened. The home has access to secure parking in a lot 1 block away.
