Casa Jirafa is a one bedroom loft located just half a block away from stunning Santa Lucia Square. Jirafa gets its name from the shape of the bedroom balcony overlooking the open concept living space. Just off to the side is an indoor spa room to cool off from Merida’s sun.

Casa Jirafa is not only beautiful to look at, it’s location could not be more perfect to visit the most exciting places within Merida’s Centro.

Santa Lucia Square has some of Merida’s best restaurants and a traditional cultural show every Thursday night. Jirafa is also just a short walk to the main square, also called the “zocalo”. There you can visit one of the oldest cathedrals of the Americas or Casa de Montejo, the palace of the Spanish conquistador, and much more.

The Casa itself is a one bedroom loft with two full baths, one ensuite and the other is located off the main living area. The bedroom has a Romeo and Juliet style balcony on the second floor, giving the majority of the space towering two story ceilings. Jirafa has its own unique style with custom pasta tile artwork to a private spa room with a green wall located right next to the living space.

The master has a comfy queen size bed and an ensuite bath.  It also has its own Smart TV with Netflix access. The living room has a pull-out sleep sofa for extra guests.  The entire space is newly renovated but preserves the colonial architecture.

Santa Lucia has some of the best restaurants in the city, with something for every taste. La Pola ice cream store is directly across the street with a wide variety of flavors. Entertainment options are numerous and close, with pubs, bars, museums and attractions within easy walking distance. Casa Jirafa is truly in the center of the city of Merida.
